Río Dulce

From Castillo de San Felipe all the way up to the entrance to the Caribbean Sea near Livingston, you will find an incredible paradise full of life and nature. Castillo San Felipe

Lake Izabal is connected to the Caribbean Sea through the Río Dulce and El Golfete. The fort was originally during the Spanish colonization in 1652, strategically located at the narrowest point of the river in an attempt to stop the activities of pirates, who were coming up the Río Dulce to raid supplies.

Lake Izabal

It is the largest lake in the country. Surrounded by beautiful beaches such as El Estor, Mariscos, Playa Dorada, and lush vegetation. It is an ideal lake for sailing and windsurf.

Finca El Paraíso

Siete Altares

Siete Altares is a series of freshwater waterfalls and natural pools. This protected area houses a great variety of regional flora and fauna and its located 1:00 – 1:30 hours away from the hotel.

Playa Blanca

Unique for its white sand and turquoise waters, the beauty of Playa Blanca is highlighted by its remote location and limited access by boat. The boat trip lasts 1:30 – 2:00 hours from the hotel.

Excursions

El Boquerón

The limestone canyon of El Boquerón is located 500 meters from the highway to Río Dulce. The Canyon stretches for another five kilometers if you want to explore a little more.

Sendero Las Escobas

Discover the wonders of the rainforest as you walk through the reserve via bridges and suspension platforms. Home to more than 400 species of birds, insects, reptiles, and a variety of fauna and flora, some of which are exclusive to this area of ​​the world.

Quiriguá National Park

A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, Quiriguá has the highest stelae of the Mayan civilization. The Archaeological Ensemble of Quiriguá consists of the following structures: The Major Center, Central Plaza, Ball Court, The Acropolis and animal shapes.
